A Trading App for Crypto and Stocks in Eleven Weeks
A mobile app where customers buy and sell crypto and stocks at the best available price, matched live across several liquidity providers. From kickoff to a regulated production launch in eleven weeks.
Five Vendors, One Price, No Room for a Stale Quote
The client had licenses, custody partners and a launch date, but no product. Customers had to be able to buy stocks and a short list of crypto assets from one screen, and every order had to fill at the best price available across several external vendors, each with its own API, its own latency and its own idea of what a quote looks like.
A quote that's a few seconds old is a loss for someone. The app needed live pricing, a matching engine that picks the best executable price and handles a vendor going quiet mid-order, and a ledger that reconciles every fill against the vendor that provided it. Eleven weeks, both stores.
One Screen to Trade, an Engine That Shops Around
A native iOS and Android trading app, a price aggregation and matching engine behind it, and an operations console so the client’s team can watch vendors, spreads and fills in real time.
Eleven Weeks, Pricing First
Vendor integrations are repetitive work with expensive mistakes. We used AI tooling to generate each adapter and its replay tests from the vendor documentation, then had senior engineers review every line that touched money. That's how eleven weeks covered five integrations, a matching engine and two apps.
Vendors first
Before any screens, we integrated every vendor’s pricing feed and measured latency, spreads and downtime for a week. Two of the shortlisted vendors didn't make the cut.
Engine and ledger
Matching engine, failover rules and a double-entry ledger built and replayed against recorded market data until every fill reconciled to the cent.
The app
Trading screens, KYC and onboarding shipped to an internal cohort trading real money in small amounts, with the ops console going live alongside.
Launch
Store review, compliance sign-off and a staged public launch, then runbooks and on-call handed to the client’s engineers.
